American company Fleetzero has closed a $43M Series A funding round. The company is opening a production facility in Houston to manufacture its hybrid and electric propulsion systems for maritime transport.

Fleetzero, a specialist in hybrid and electric propulsion systems for ships, announces a $43M Series A funding round. The round was led by Obvious Ventures, with participation from Maersk Growth, Breakthrough Energy Ventures, 8090 Industries, Y Combinator, Benson Capital and Shorewind. The capital will be used to expand production of the Leviathan propulsion system, deployed on commercial vessels globally.
