President Alassane Ouattara announced the launch of a survey of non-electrified localities and national grid extension needs during his State of the Nation address on December 31, 2025. This approach targets the optimization of efforts to achieve total territorial coverage in electricity and water. The government intends to precisely identify the last areas remaining to be covered after nearly fifteen years of investment in electrical infrastructure.
