Europe Launches Agreement for 100 GW of Offshore Wind in the North Sea

The third summit on energy and security cooperation in the North Sea brought together energy ministers from nine European countries in Hamburg. Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Luxembourg, the Netherlands and Norway signed a joint declaration aimed at creating what they describe as “the world’s largest clean energy hub.” This initiative comes amid diplomatic tensions linked to the Russian threat and American ambitions regarding Greenland.
