The historic Oak Ridge site in eastern Tennessee is once again becoming the epicenter of the American uranium enrichment industry. Three companies are deploying industrial programs totaling more than $3 billion in investments. These announcements come as the United States seeks to rebuild sovereign enrichment capacity, abandoned since 1987 at this site that was one of the three pillars of the Manhattan Project.
