Corteva and bp create Etlas to produce one million tonnes of biomass
Etlas, the new joint venture between Corteva and bp, aims to produce one million tonnes of oilseed biomass for biofuels annually by 2035, with initial deliveries starting in 2027.

Corteva Inc. and bp have announced the launch of Etlas, a 50:50 joint venture established to produce oil from crops such as canola, mustard and sunflower. These raw materials will be used in the production of biofuels, specifically Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) and Renewable Diesel (RD). Etlas will combine Corteva’s seed genetics expertise with bp’s refining and fuel distribution infrastructure.
