American developer Dispatch Energy announces the activation of its Bridgeport project, developed on a former brownfield site as part of the state’s shared clean energy program.

Dispatch Energy LLC, a provider of distributed energy solutions, announced the commissioning of its fuel cell power plant at the Bunnell Block site in Bridgeport, Connecticut. This 4 MW project was developed in partnership with United Illuminating Company on a former abandoned industrial site. According to the company, the facility would provide non-intermittent baseload power generation in a densely populated area.
