GTT, a French group specializing in cryogenic membrane containment systems, received in Q1 2026 an order from South Korean shipbuilder Hanwha Ocean to design the tanks of two new LNG carriers. Each vessel will have a total capacity of 174,000 m³. As gas infrastructure investments continue globally, projects such as the strengthened gas alliance between Algeria and Spain around the MedGaz pipeline illustrate the sustained demand for LNG transport capacity. The order entrusted to GTT covers the design of cryogenic tanks, a core activity for the group over more than 60 years.

The NO96 Super+ System, GTT's Proprietary Technology

The tanks of both LNG carriers will be equipped with GTT's NO96 Super+ membrane containment system, a proprietary technology developed by the group. This system ensures the transport of liquefied natural gas under optimal safety and operational efficiency conditions for large-capacity vessels. GTT also operates across floating terminals, onshore storage and multi-gas carriers, and develops systems for the use of LNG as marine fuel. Its subsidiary Elogen designs and assembles electrolyzers for green hydrogen production, a segment where companies such as Next Hydrogen Solutions are multiplying revenues by commercializing their electrolyzers.

Hanwha Ocean ranks among the world's leading shipyards active in the construction of large-capacity LNG carriers. The order received by GTT in Q1 2026 covers the design of the cryogenic tanks for both vessels. The partnership between the two groups reflects the sustained global demand for new LNG transport capacity.

GTT Listed on Euronext Paris and Included in Several Market Indices

GTT is listed on Euronext Paris, Compartment A, under ISIN code FR0011726835. The group is included in the SBF 120, Stoxx Europe 600 and MSCI Small Cap indices. GTT also offers a comprehensive range of digital services in the Smart Shipping domain. This multi-segment positioning places the group at the heart of the maritime energy technology ecosystem.
